MUSHROOM & BLACK GARLIC STEAK SAUCE
As part of our valentines menu collection, we're bringing you subtle twists to help you spice up your valentines feast. Choose black garlic and fresh chilli to add flavour to your choice of steak. Serve it with roasted cherry vine tomatoes and sweet potato fries for a delicious treat.

SERVES: 2 people
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
200g chestnut mushrooms, quartered
4-5 black garlic cloves, chopped
1 medium red chilli, seeds removed
2 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons creme fraiche
Plus, your choice of steak cut
HOW TO MAKE
- In a pan with medium heat, brown mushrooms in butter (about 6-7 minutes). Stir in the chilli and black garlic and let it sizzle for 2 minutes. Turn the heat off and stir in creme fraiche. Cover the pan with a lid to keep the sauce warm until your steak is ready.
- Place your steak seasoned side down in a hot pan set over medium high heat. Cook it according to your steak cut.
- Serve your mushroom and black garlic sauce over the steak or in a small side dish next to the steak.
